Description

E Source is hiring a Principal Engineer, Grid Engineering and Interconnection to lead transmission planning and interconnection study engineers, own client delivery of power-system studies, oversee stability and reliability analyses, manage project scope and costs, contribute to complex studies, and support business development. The role requires at least 10 years of power systems analysis experience, including 3 years leading engineers or projects, a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, and proficiency with PSS/E, ASPEN, and additional planning tools. It is 100% remote with infrequent travel, offers medical, dental, and vision insurance, and pays $140,000–$200,000 USD plus an annual bonus.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
Required Previous Experiences: 10+ years of power systems analysis experience
3+ years leading engineers, projects, or client engagements
Experience leading stability, congestion, cost modeling, or cluster feasibility studies across one or more ISOs
Preferred Qualifications: Prior consulting or client-facing power systems experience
Master’s or Ph.D. in power systems engineering
Experience leading studies across multiple ISOs
Open-source tool or transmission planning technical writing experience
