NetApp is hiring a Principal Software Engineer to own the architecture and production development of Trident, an open-source Kubernetes storage provisioner. The role leads persistent-storage and data-protection architecture, writes and reviews Go code, guides cross-team engineering, works with customers, runs PoCs and R&D, and represents NetApp in the Kubernetes and open-source communities. Candidates need 10+ years of software experience, strong production Go, deep Kubernetes and persistent-storage knowledge, distributed-systems fundamentals, and experience with a major cloud. The target salary range is $227,800-$338,000, with benefits including health insurance and other regional offerings.
