Horizon3 is hiring a Principal Backend Engineer to serve as Technical Lead for its Platform Integration team. The role owns the technical vision and architecture for scalable backend services and APIs, translates product and customer needs into technical strategy, leads cross-functional initiatives, and mentors engineers. It requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, at least 10 years of professional software engineering experience, backend development experience, production SQL and relational database experience, and cloud-native development experience. The position is fully remote with up to 10% travel, offers a base salary of $213,000–$273,000, and includes equity and health, vision, and dental insurance.
