Description
AES is hiring a Principal Engineer – Utility Projects to manage third-party design and engineering for large utility-scale solar photovoltaic and battery energy storage projects in late-stage development, construction, and operation. The role leads project engineers, manages EPC and engineering consultants, conducts design reviews and technical due diligence, supports procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations, and mentors engineers. It requires an engineering undergraduate degree or equivalent, 10+ years of relevant energy-system experience, and 5+ years in project management, consulting, or project engineering. The position is based at an AES US Renewables & Power office or remotely, includes up to 25% travel, and offers a base salary of $145,000 to $181,050 per year plus an annual bonus and medical, dental, and vision coverage.
