Description
Avery Dennison is hiring a Principal Enterprise Data Platform Architect to serve as the technical lead for Data Platform Engineering and define, architect, and evolve its enterprise 10-Layer Data & AI Operating System. The role leads the transition from legacy ETL to a modern, high-code platform engineering practice using GitOps, Data-as-Code, declarative management, and automated metadata control planes; oversees multi-cloud architecture, AI infrastructure, security, observability, and developer tooling; and mentors technical talent across data, analytics, AI/LLM, DevOps, and APEX engineering. The position is remote and requires a master’s or bachelor’s degree in a relevant quantitative field, 10+ years of enterprise data architecture or platform engineering experience, and expertise in multi-cloud, data engineering, AI/ML infrastructure, and strategic leadership.
