Microsoft is hiring a Principal Software Engineer for its Industry Solutions Engineering team to serve as a customer-embedded technical leader. The role owns production-grade solutions, translates customer business needs into technical approaches, works with senior stakeholders, prepares work for Forward Deployed Engineering crews, and delivers iterative solutions in complex environments. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field, at least six years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, direct customer or internal-stakeholder solution experience, and fluency in Japanese and English.
