Description
Google is hiring a Principal Engineer to define the strategic and technical direction for its PIE Robotics roadmap and lead the development of data center hardware robotics systems. The role covers robotics automation solutions for hardware deployment, repair, and decommissioning; technical leadership for autonomous mobile robots, automated guided vehicles, and multi-axis robotic arms; and collaboration with executive and external stakeholders. Candidates need a PhD in robotics or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience, 15 years of robotics systems engineering or architecture experience, robotics industry experience, and expertise in robotic control, planning, kinematics, and mechatronic systems.
