HRL Laboratories is hiring a Principal Investigator to lead MEMS sensor and actuator research and development for aerospace, automotive, and industrial applications. The role covers device design, fabrication, testing, experimental development, process integration, metrology, project leadership, funded-program guidance, technical strategy, and mentoring. Candidates need a Ph.D. or master’s degree in a physical science or engineering field, at least five years of fabrication-process experience in an R&D environment, and expertise in MEMS fabrication, metrology, process control monitors, and technical proposal development. The position is based in California, offers a $140,700–$175,950 salary range, and requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
