Amgen is hiring a Principal Machine Learning Engineer for its Forecasting team within the AI & Data Science organization. The role leads technical strategy and the design, development, deployment, scaling, and governance of enterprise forecasting, large language model, predictive analytics, simulation, optimization, and agentic AI systems. Responsibilities include productionizing models, building AI agents and secure integrations, establishing MLOps and observability, evaluating responsible-AI controls, and mentoring engineering teams. The position requires a degree and 12+ years of experience in machine learning engineering or a related quantitative discipline, along with 10+ years of professional experience building and operating production systems.
