Costain is looking for a Principal Mechanical Engineer to join their multi-disciplinary engineering and design team. This role focuses on delivering comprehensive design solutions across various UK infrastructure sectors, particularly in the nuclear industry. The engineer will manage technical resources, drive project progress, ensure compliance and quality, and resolve complex challenges. Key responsibilities include specifications and datasheet creation, vendor documentation reviews, mechanical handling and lifting equipment design, HVAC and building services design, plant layout, pumping system calculations, pressure equipment design, and stress analysis.
