Description
AECOM is hiring a Principal Mechanical Engineer for its Water Team in a Scotland office. The role covers feasibility studies, outline and detailed design, plant layouts, mechanical plant selection, specifications, valve and equipment schedules, hydraulic calculations, P&IDs, site surveys, client and contractor liaison, design reviews, and mechanical lead responsibilities for wastewater treatment, water treatment, and infrastructure projects. The engineer will also support project programmes and budgets and act as a line manager for mechanical graduates, engineers, and senior engineers. The position offers hybrid working and requires a mechanical engineering degree, Chartered Engineer status, and hands-on experience in water and wastewater engineering projects.
