Description
AECOM is hiring a Principal Mechanical Engineer for its Water Team to lead mechanical design and technical delivery across wastewater and water infrastructure and treatment projects. The role covers pumping stations, headloss and pumping-system analysis, pump and equipment selection, plant layouts, P&IDs, technical specifications, bids, and construction design, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and clients. It requires extensive large-scale water engineering experience, a BEng or MEng in a related engineering field, water and wastewater treatment experience, chartered professional status, and experience in team leadership and mentoring. The position is based across AECOM’s North and Midlands offices in Birmingham, Chesterfield, Leeds, and Manchester, with a flexible hybrid working model.
