Description

BakerHicks is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Motherwell, Scotland. The role involves designing and specifying all aspects of Mechanical Building Services according to current guidelines, standards, regulations, and project deliverables. The successful candidate will manage medium-sized projects or packages on larger ones, leading and developing a team, and fostering client relationships. This position requires a strong background in mechanical services engineering, preferably with a chartered status.

Additional Information

Preferred Qualifications: Strong track record in one or ideally, multiples sectors, that BakerHicks operates in.
Ability to demonstrate managing medium size projects or managing packages on large projects.
Build, developing and managing a motivated and enthusiastic team.
Develop and nurture relationships with clients (both internal and external).
Design and specify all aspects of Mechanical Services in accordance with current guidelines, standards, regulations and project deliverables.
Management of Mechanical Services involvement in projects, including time, cost, quality and resources, client relationship management and delivery.
Monitor and champion quality and compliance controls within local teams and projects.
Obtain and maintain the appropriate level of security clearance or assurance level for this role, in line with client and sector requirements.
In some cases, additional nationality or residency criteria may also apply due to specific client or national security obligations.
