Description
Boston Dynamics is hiring a Principal Mechanical Engineer for its Atlas team to define the mechanical architecture and technology roadmap for high-performance actuator products on next-generation humanoid robotic platforms. The role leads electromechanical systems from concept through high-volume manufacturing, establishes CAD, GD&T, tolerance, and production-release standards, partners with suppliers and manufacturing teams, manages technical risk, and mentors senior design engineers. Candidates need a mechanical engineering degree or equivalent experience, typically 12+ years of electromechanical product design and launch experience, expertise in rotating machinery and actuation systems, and advanced CAD and PLM proficiency. The position requires 5%-10% international travel and does not offer visa sponsorship; the base pay range is $155,000-$193,000.
