Description
CHAOS Industries is hiring a Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead the end-to-end mechanical design, integration, and sustainment of missile and UAV launcher systems for solid rocket motor effectors, turbine-powered UAVs, and electrically powered UAV systems across mobile ground and maritime platforms. The role owns mechanical architecture, interfaces, environmental and blast protection, safety interlocks, mechanisms, actuation systems, military-standard compliance, customer and supplier interfaces, production transition, and fielded-system sustainment. It is a full-time on-site position in Hawthorne, California, requiring a bachelor’s degree, 10+ years of aerospace or defense mechanical design and system integration experience, launcher-system experience, CAD proficiency, and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance. The targeted base compensation is $160,000–$260,000, with medical, dental, and vision benefits fully paid by the company.
