Description
The Principal Mining Engineer will lead mine planning, design, optimization, and operational improvement activities for mining projects from design through production. The role includes technical and economic evaluations, feasibility and project budgeting, mine planning software, technical reporting, contractor supervision, safety and regulatory compliance, mentoring, and client engagement. It requires a bachelor’s degree in mining engineering or a related discipline, at least 15 years of mining technical experience, and more than 10 years in project evaluation, budgeting, and cost estimation. The position pays $61.55 to $71.80 per hour and includes health, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, and RRSP eligibility.
