Description
The Principal NDT Tech leads and coordinates nondestructive examination work for welds and materials, performing methods such as PAUT, TOFD, PT, MT, ET, and RT in accordance with project plans, procedures, codes, and specifications. The role includes equipment setup and calibration, acceptance or rejection of welds, reporting, rectification follow-up, equipment maintenance, development of inspection techniques for complex geometries, and assistance with team training. Candidates need a high school diploma or relevant degree, at least five years of experience in the NDE method for which they are being hired, and ASNT, PCN, or CSWIP Level II qualification.
