Description
BMT is hiring a Principal Nuclear Facility Safety Engineering Consultant to lead the development of civil and defence nuclear safety cases, produce safety documentation and assessments, develop safety requirements, support periodic safety reviews, and provide technical leadership to junior team members. The role is permanent and available part-time, job-share, or full-time, with offices in several UK locations and flexible hybrid working; travel to customer sites in Aldermaston and Reading or to meetings will be required. Applicants must be UK-born sole nationals, have resided in the United Kingdom for the past five years, and obtain and maintain full UK security clearance. The role requires a degree or equivalent professional experience in science, engineering, or a related field, plus experience with nuclear safety cases, hazard studies, licensed or authorised nuclear sites, nuclear and process engineering guidance, safety assessment methodologies, and nuclear authorising or licensing conditions.
