Description
Astera Labs is hiring a Principal Optical Assembly Engineer to lead the development and optimization of optical assembly processes for next-generation photonics products supporting AI infrastructure. The individual contributor will develop active and passive fiber alignment, fiber attach, and epoxy-cure processes; document workflows and quality controls; scale laboratory capability; qualify alignment, dispensing, curing, adhesive, and encapsulant systems; and improve yield through statistical process control and reliability methods. The role requires a relevant advanced degree and at least 8 years of experience in optical assembly, photonics packaging, or related process development, with a salary range of $185,000 to $240,000.
