Molex is hiring a Principal Optical Engineer in Bridgewater, New Jersey, to lead the innovation, detailed design, and prototyping of next-generation wavelength selective switch and dynamic gain equalization modules. The role owns optical system architecture, performs advanced Zemax modeling and simulation, develops optical specifications and trade-offs, collaborates with opto-mechanical engineers, and leads prototyping, validation, design reviews, and intellectual property activities. The position requires a PhD in Engineering, Physics, Photonics, or a related technical field, at least 10 years of optical product development experience, and strong expertise in optics, fiber coupling, and optical simulation. The stated annual salary is $160,000 to $200,000, with variable bonus eligibility.
