Carrier is hiring a Computational Engineer for its Systems & Controls Center of Excellence in Lund, Sweden. The role develops and deploys optimization methods, mathematical models, control strategies, and machine-learning-enabled tools for thermo-fluid systems such as chillers, heat pumps, and hydronic systems. Responsibilities include translating engineering needs into decision-making workflows, implementing real-time optimization, collaborating with global product teams, and mentoring engineers. The position requires a master’s degree in engineering, applied mathematics, or a related field and extensive experience in model-based engineering, optimization, or computational methods; a PhD and experience with numerical optimization, thermo-fluid systems, and Python are preferred. The annual salary is SEK 648,000–1,296,000, with additional benefits and short-term cash incentives.
