Astera Labs is hiring a Principal Photonics Package Architect in San Jose, California, to define and lead package architecture for next-generation photonics products supporting scale-up and scale-out AI infrastructure. The role covers electrical and optical interface specifications, signal and power integrity, thermal budgets, cross-functional co-design, validation and reliability requirements, bump and ball maps, ECOs, design databases, design reviews, and the package technical roadmap. Candidates need a relevant advanced degree and at least 10 years of semiconductor or photonics package development, design, or integration experience, along with expertise in advanced packaging, EDA and electrical simulation tools, and cross-functional technical leadership.
