Canva is hiring a Principal Production Engineer to define and lead long-term, embedded production engineering engagements across its highest-risk technical areas. The role focuses on complex distributed systems, JVM performance, sharding and multi-region architecture, observability, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, incident response, and performance analysis. The Principal will set technical standards, calibrate future hires, shape product-team production readiness, and improve reliability at scale.
