United Airlines is hiring a Principal Quality Engineer to lead enterprise-wide Quality Engineering, Test Automation, and Agentic Testing. The role defines technical strategy, architecture, standards, and roadmaps; builds scalable automation and AI-powered quality platforms; drives autonomous testing, defect prediction, observability, and quality intelligence; and partners with Engineering, Product, Platform, Security, DevOps, and Data teams. The position requires a bachelor's degree, at least five years of Quality Engineering or IT leadership experience, five years of test automation implementation experience, and strong programming skills in Java, Selenium, Python, or SQL. The base salary is $140,600 to $191,620, with bonus and long-term incentive compensation eligibility and medical, dental, vision, and other benefits.
