Description
Microsoft Quantum is hiring a Principal Quantum Engineer - Quantum Systems to advance scalable quantum computing by designing and building cryogenic systems, control and readout electronics, measurement instrumentation, software and automation, and supporting infrastructure; integrating these subsystems with quantum devices; and characterizing and validating system performance and reliability. The role leads cross-disciplinary collaboration, technical risk reduction, documentation, safety, security, and engineering best practices, and requires a relevant bachelor's, master's, or doctorate degree plus 3–8 years of industry or research-and-development experience depending on the degree. Compensation ranges from USD 142,800 to USD 274,800 annually across the United States, with higher ranges for the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area.
