Description
Microsoft is hiring a Principal Quantum Systems Architect to define scalable classical control and readout architectures for large-scale quantum computing. The role focuses on the quantum-classical interface, heterogeneous compute platforms, communication fabrics, system partitioning, hardware-software co-design, and production-ready platform evolution, while leading collaboration with European quantum hardware partners. Candidates need a doctorate, master's, or bachelor's degree in physics, engineering, or a related field plus industry or research-and-development experience, along with experience driving architectural trade-offs across performance, scalability, power, and reliability. The role is based in Switzerland and offers a base pay range of CHF 233,600 to CHF 350,400 per year.
