Description
AECOM is seeking an experienced Principal Rail Telecommunications Engineer to lead the design, assurance, delivery, and support of telecommunications systems across major rail infrastructure projects. The role covers FTN/FTNx, fibre optics, IP networking, GSM-R, CCTV, PA, CIS, radio communications, and operational telecoms infrastructure, with responsibilities including technical governance, risk and interface management, system integration, client and stakeholder engagement, and mentoring junior engineers. The position requires a degree, HNC, or HND in a relevant engineering discipline, significant rail telecommunications experience, and experience in Network Rail or major rail infrastructure environments; hybrid work is available.
