Description
The Principal Riser Engineer is a senior specialist responsible for complex riser conceptual FEED, studies, detailed design, analysis, calculations, and design reviews. The role may lead a mechanical engineering discipline, coordinate with project, fabrication, procurement, customer, and third-party stakeholders, manage discipline schedules and budgets, and guide less experienced engineers. It requires 15–20 years of oil and gas experience, preferably offshore, a bachelor’s degree in civil, structural, or mechanical engineering, and strong knowledge of riser engineering standards and tools.
