Rocket Software is hiring a Principal Sales Engineer – Vertica to lead complex, high-value sales opportunities for its Vertica analytics platform. The role combines advanced presales execution, solution architecture, proof-of-concept and performance-benchmark execution, technical qualification, SQL and Python scripting, cloud and hybrid deployment, and customer engagement with technical and business stakeholders. It also includes mentorship of Sales Engineers, partner collaboration, and contribution to technical sales processes. The position requires 8–12+ years of experience in sales engineering, presales, or technical consulting, along with deep analytical database, SQL, data architecture, and modern data-stack expertise.
