Microsoft is hiring a Principal Security Architect in Red Team Engineering to serve as the blue-team counterpart to Red Team operations. The role defines and implements architecture and production capabilities for telemetry, monitoring, detection, alerting, deconfliction, and operational security, enabling Microsoft to observe, protect, and distinguish authorized Red Team activity from genuine adversary activity. The position requires a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field and at least six years of technical engineering experience with coding, along with cybersecurity, distributed systems, and cross-organization leadership experience. Compensation is USD 142,800–274,800 per year in the United States, with higher ranges for the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area.
