Microsoft is hiring a Principal Security Engineer for its CyberShield red team program to plan and execute full-scope adversary emulation operations across cloud, identity, network, endpoint, hardware, and operational security environments. The role leads AI-driven, agentic red teaming; develops offensive tooling and tradecraft; discovers and chains vulnerabilities; briefs customer security leaders; and sets standards while mentoring operators. Candidates need a relevant master's degree with 6+ years of security experience or a relevant bachelor's degree with 8+ years, plus red team, vulnerability exploitation, AI agent, and offensive tooling experience. The typical U.S. base pay range is USD $165,600-$296,400 per year, with higher ranges for the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area.
