Microsoft is hiring a Principal Security Engineering Manager to lead a U.S.-based team of Security Operations Engineers and Technical Program Managers focused on building identity protections that reduce lateral-movement risk across Microsoft infrastructure, services, and administrative environments. The role combines security leadership with an engineering-driven approach, using data, tooling, automation, and AI to design scalable controls, operationalize protection capabilities, establish engineering standards, and partner with identity, product, security operations, platform, and infrastructure teams. Candidates must have a relevant doctorate, master's, or bachelor's degree plus the corresponding years of experience, or equivalent experience, along with people-management experience and the ability to meet Microsoft security screening requirements.
