Description
SecurityScorecard is hiring a Principal Software Architect to lead the end-to-end system design of its data platform, covering ingestion, streaming and batch processing, lakehouse storage, analytical serving, data quality, observability, lineage, and correctness. The role is an individual contributor reporting to the Chief Architect, with responsibilities including technical design reviews, standards, prototyping, and mentoring senior and staff engineers. It follows a hybrid model requiring onsite work 1–2 days per week for employees within 75 miles of the Midtown New York City or Downtown Austin offices, or fully remote work for those outside both areas. The position requires 10+ years of software or data engineering experience, deep expertise in Kafka, Flink, Spark, Python, PySpark, Java, Scala, lakehouse storage, and distributed systems, and offers total compensation of $270,000–$330,000 USD for New York candidates and $240,000–$300,000 USD for Austin candidates.
