CarGurus is hiring a Principal Software Development Engineer to join its first Dublin engineering team and lead full-stack product initiatives for Canadian and UK markets. The role owns projects from conception through delivery, develops and modernizes dealer-facing microservices and web applications using Java, TypeScript, React, Spring Boot, Hibernate, AWS, and related technologies, and mentors engineers. Candidates need at least 8 years of professional software engineering experience, including 3+ years as a technical lead or principal engineer, along with distributed-systems, cloud, database, and production-system experience. The position offers a hybrid model and an annual base salary of €90,000–€125,000.
