Zscaler is hiring a Principal Software Development Engineer (Control-Plane) to join its Engineering team and expand the control path. The role involves defining software design specifications, implementing test-driven and AI-assisted code, designing and optimizing networking and security features, troubleshooting scalable systems, collaborating with architects and product teams, and mentoring junior engineers. It is a hybrid position based in the Santa Clara, California office with a minimum of three days per week onsite, and requires 12+ years of experience with large-scale software systems, cloud infrastructure, and cloud networking.
