Remitly is hiring a Principal Engineer for Core Transfer Experience to serve as the senior-most technical leader across core transfer flows, conversational and agentic surfaces, and regional experiences. The role owns multi-year technical strategy, modernizes legacy architecture, sets reliability and operational standards, enables AI-native capabilities, mentors engineers, and contributes hands-on code and system analysis. Candidates need 12+ years of software engineering experience, full-stack distributed-systems expertise, and a record of leading large-scale modernization and cross-team technical strategy. The position offers a starting base salary of $240,000-$300,000, medical, dental, and vision benefits, and a hybrid work arrangement with onsite attendance Tuesday through Thursday.
