Description
Zscaler is hiring a Principal Software Development Engineer for a hybrid role in Bangalore, India, reporting to the Director of Software Engineering. The role focuses on designing, developing, and optimizing high-performance network system architecture and security features for mission-critical applications, including Linux kernel networking, stateful firewalls, NAT, routing protocols, and data-path performance. The engineer will collaborate with architects, product managers, customers, and cross-functional teams, author specifications, drive unit testing and automation, troubleshoot complex issues, and coach junior team members. The position requires a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field, at least 10 years of system engineering experience in high-performance networking, and expertise in Go and Python.
