Description
Alcon is hiring a Principal Software Engineer to lead the architecture, design, and development of complex Windows-based software applications for ophthalmic diagnostic and surgical medical devices. The role is onsite in Lake Forest, California and involves technical leadership across the software development lifecycle, collaboration with systems, hardware, quality, regulatory, and product management teams, and mentoring engineers to deliver high-quality, regulated medical device software. The position requires at least five years of relevant experience, a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, and preferred expertise in C#, .NET, WPF/XAML, MVVM, C++, software architecture, and medical device or healthcare interoperability technologies.
