Blue Origin is hiring a Principal Software Engineer to lead architecture, design, implementation, integration, optimization, testing, and mentoring for mission-critical embedded software supporting the TeraWave satellite communications constellation and ground terminals. The role focuses on multi-threaded C/C++ software for Linux, RTOS, and bare-metal platforms on multi-core SoCs, with high-speed data-plane networking, encryption, fault tolerance, performance optimization, and embedded debugging. The position is primarily onsite in the Greater Seattle Area, Bay Area, or San Diego, with a temporary remote-work exception while a local site is developed, and requires U.S. work authorization under export-control regulations.
