Description
Coherent Corp. is seeking a highly experienced software engineer to independently design, develop, test, debug, integrate, install, and support automated assembly and test systems for optical data communication product manufacturing. The role includes defining customer requirements, creating software architecture, selecting system components with hardware engineers, applying motion control and machine vision, qualifying systems on production floors and customer sites, and troubleshooting production issues. It requires 15+ years of software engineering experience in automated process and test systems, proficiency in C#, C, or C++, and the ability to work across teams, facilities, and occasional overseas customer sites.
