Coherent Corp. is hiring an onsite senior embedded software engineer in Horsham, Pennsylvania. The role focuses primarily on developing and sustaining embedded software and firmware for optical networking products, including new features, bug resolution, product performance improvements, and accurate firmware documentation. It also includes coaching junior engineers, leading code reviews, supporting customer and field application engineering interactions, and contributing across the Agile and DevOps lifecycle. Candidates need an electrical engineering or computer science degree, at least 8 years of embedded software experience, at least 5 years in optical networking, expert C/C++ skills, networking protocol knowledge, and experience with embedded Linux, multi-process and multithreaded design, CI/CD, virtualization, and containers.
