Description
Coherent Corp. is seeking a highly experienced automation software engineer to design, develop, test, debug, integrate, install, and support automated assembly and test systems for optical data communication product manufacturing. The role works with customers and hardware engineering teams to define specifications, select system components, create software architecture, develop control software, apply motion control and machine vision, validate algorithms and system reliability, qualify systems on production floors, and troubleshoot production issues. The position requires 15+ years of software engineering experience in automated process and test systems, strong C#, C, and C++ skills, cross-functional teamwork, schedule flexibility, occasional overseas travel, and the ability to work in clean-room and fast-paced production environments.
