Description
Coherent Corp. is seeking a highly experienced software engineering professional to design, develop, test, debug, integrate, install, and support automated assembly and test systems for optical data communication manufacturing. The role includes gathering customer requirements, creating software architecture, selecting system components with hardware engineers, developing in C#, C, or C++, applying motion control and machine vision, validating algorithms through simulation, qualifying systems at customer production sites, and troubleshooting production issues. It requires 15+ years of relevant experience, close cross-functional collaboration, flexibility for irregular production support hours, occasional overseas travel, and work in clean-room environments when needed.
