Coupa is hiring a Principal Software Engineer to lead the architectural evolution of its Coupa Supplier Platform, a production B2B SaaS system serving millions of suppliers. The role involves evolving a legacy Rails monolith into a scalable, multi-cloud, highly available microservices architecture; defining APIs, deployment pipelines, monitoring, reliability, security, multi-tenancy, data governance, and compliance; partnering with SRE and product teams; and mentoring engineers. Candidates need 15+ years of B2B SaaS experience, proven production legacy-to-microservices evolution, expertise in API-driven and multi-tenant systems, and familiarity with Ruby on Rails, Golang, Java, CI/CD, containers, infrastructure-as-code, and cloud providers.
