Fivetran is hiring a Principal Software Engineer for its Platform Engineering Group to define the long-term architecture of core platform systems, design and evolve large-scale distributed systems, lead cross-team initiatives, establish engineering best practices, mentor senior and staff engineers, and improve platform performance, reliability, and cost. The role requires 12+ years of software engineering experience, strong backend and distributed-systems expertise, and is based in the Oakland office with a hybrid model requiring two days in the office each week.
