Torq is hiring a Principal Software Engineer to lead complex software systems and engineering teams in a consulting environment. The role focuses on architectural direction, scalable cloud-native solutions, APIs and service architectures, reliability and security, technical guidance, and mentoring engineers. Candidates need at least 8 years of professional software engineering experience, distributed-systems expertise, cloud and containerization knowledge, and experience with backend languages and agile cross-functional work. The position offers a base salary of $140,000 to $170,000+, health, vision, and dental benefits, unlimited PTO, and no visa sponsorship.
