KBR is hiring a Principal Software Engineer to lead the architecture, development, implementation, and optimization of software for a new Modeling and Simulation Lab. The role involves integrating COTS/GOTS products, developing APIs, researching technology insertion, and collaborating with simulation developers and government customers. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related STEM field with 10+ years of experience, or a master’s degree with 5+ years of experience, along with programming, DevOps, security clearance, and on-site work requirements. The candidate must reside in or relocate to the North Alabama area and may travel up to 15% of the time.
