Description
The Principal Software Engineer will join Mastercard’s Real Time Payments (RTP) Platform, Tooling & Engineering Enablement team as a senior technical individual contributor. The role focuses on improving developer experience, architecture, standards, governance, and AI adoption across RTP engineering, while solving complex open problems, mentoring engineers, and influencing teams without direct authority. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or engineering or equivalent experience, along with strong software engineering, architecture, platform, cloud, CI/CD, technical leadership, AI adoption, standards, and executive communication experience.
