Mastercard is hiring a Principal Software Engineer for its Decision Stream program to lead enterprise-scale software engineering and technical leadership for a next-generation Decision Management Platform. The role combines hands-on development of distributed systems, AI-assisted development, real-time decisioning, platform tooling, and customer experience with architectural strategy, mentorship, and organization-wide engineering initiatives. Candidates should have extensive software engineering and technical leadership experience, proven delivery of large-scale distributed systems, expertise in cloud and AI/data platforms, and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent; advanced degrees are preferred. The role may be performed from home or in the United States or Canada, with listed base salary ranges for Arlington, Virginia and Atlanta, Georgia.
