Description
Microsoft is hiring a Principal Software Engineer to technically lead multiple teams and partner with Windows and services teams globally. The role focuses on building, deploying, and maintaining distributed software services and AI-driven personalization across Xbox, M365, devices, retail demos, and the Microsoft account service. Responsibilities include leading engineering teams, shaping product vision, driving AI adoption, delivering high-quality products, and hiring and developing talent. Required qualifications include a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field, 10–12+ years of technical engineering experience, extensive distributed software and cloud services experience, full-stack product development experience, and expertise in machine learning, LLM usage patterns, and agentic frameworks.
